How it works
- 1
Describe it once
Tell HaT what's going on like you'd tell a mate — photos help. The AI scopes the job properly so you never repeat yourself to five different people.
- 2
Sealed offers come to you
Verified locals send real offers with locked prices. Bids are sealed — no one sees anyone else's — so what you compare is what they'll actually charge.
- 3
Pay when it's done
Your payment is held safely by HaT and released when the work is complete. If something isn't right, you can raise a dispute before any money moves.

Carpenter questions, answered plainly
Carpenter or handyman — which do I need?
If the job is mostly about timber — building, repairing or fitting it properly — it's a carpenter. If it's general odd jobs, a handyman covers it. Describe the work in plain words and HaT routes it; you never have to pick the trade yourself.
Do offers include the timber and materials?
An offer is a locked price for the work described, and it states what's included. If materials depend on what's found — like how far rot has spread — that shows up as a priced conditional you can see before booking. Nothing gets added mid-job without your approval in the app.
What about bigger jobs, like a new deck or renovation?
Post it anyway. Larger or multi-trade work gets scoped properly rather than squeezed into a quick fix — HaT flags jobs that need a site assessment or more than one trade, so you end up with offers that match the real size of the work.
