Plumber is a licensed trade. Every plumber on HaT is ID- and ABN-verified, and their plumbing licence is checked against the relevant register before they can send you an offer — and the badge expires when the licence does. Tradies with current public liability cover carry a separate verified Insured badge.

I've got a burst pipe — what do I do first?
Turn the water off at the meter first (usually at the front boundary of the property), then post the job as an emergency. Describe where the water was coming from and what you can see now — photos help plumbers commit a real price fast.
Should I repair or replace my hot water system?
Tell us the system's age, type (electric, gas, heat pump) and what it's doing — no hot water at all, lukewarm, leaking from the tank. The plumbers who offer will tell you honestly whether it's worth repairing; you're never obliged to accept any offer.
Does the offer include parts?
An offer on HaT is a locked price for the work described, and anything conditional — like a part that might be needed once things are opened up — is priced and visible before you book. Extras that come up mid-job must be approved by you in the app before the work happens.
