Book a verified heating and cooling specialist in Canberra
Ducted heating, evaporative cooling, wall furnaces — licence-checked locals send sealed offers with locked prices, and you pay when the job's done.
How it works
- 1
Describe it once
Tell HaT what's going on like you'd tell a mate — photos help. The AI scopes the job properly so you never repeat yourself to five different people.
- 2
Sealed offers come to you
Verified locals send real offers with locked prices. Bids are sealed — no one sees anyone else's — so what you compare is what they'll actually charge.
- 3
Pay when it's done
Your payment is held safely by HaT and released when the work is complete. If something isn't right, you can raise a dispute before any money moves.

Who you're booking
Heating & Cooling is a licensed trade. Every heating and cooling tech on HaT is ID- and ABN-verified, and their heating & cooling licence is checked against the relevant register before they can send you an offer — and the badge expires when the licence does. Tradies with current public liability cover carry a separate verified Insured badge.

Heating & Cooling questions, answered plainly
My split-system aircon needs a service or regas — is this the right page?
That work sits under HaT's fridges and air conditioning trade, which covers split-system servicing and refrigerant handling. You don't have to pick, though — describe the problem in the chat and HaT routes it to the right trade automatically.
My ducted heating blows cold air — what should I describe?
Say what happens step by step: does the unit fire up at all, does it run then cut out, are some rooms warm and others not, and any error lights or codes on the controller. Symptoms plus a photo of the controller give techs enough to price the visit properly.
When should I get my heating serviced?
Before you need it — in Canberra that means booking heating servicing in autumn and evaporative cooling in spring, when techs are less slammed than in the first cold snap or heatwave. A serviced unit is also the honest way to catch faults before they're mid-winter breakdowns.
Are heating and cooling techs licensed?
Yes — heating and cooling is a licensed trade on HaT, so every tech is ID- and ABN-verified and has their licence checked before they can send an offer. Work involving refrigerant also requires an ARC refrigerant-handling licence.
