Just moved in — rekey or replace the locks?
If the locks are in good nick, rekeying (new keys, same hardware) is usually the cheaper, faster answer to "who else has a key?". Replacement makes sense when locks are worn, dated or you want an upgrade. Describe what's on each door and let the offers show both paths honestly.
I'm locked out right now — does HaT handle that?
Post it as an emergency and available locksmiths see it immediately. Whether someone can come depends on who's free — you'll see real committed offers rather than a promised ETA. Fair warning that any locksmith should give: expect to prove you live there before they open the door.
Are smart locks worth it, and will one fit my door?
Many retrofit onto a standard door without new cabling, but fit depends on your door's thickness and the existing lock case. Photograph the inside and outside of the lock and the door edge — a locksmith can tell from that what would fit and offer accordingly.
