Who you're booking
Fridges & air conditioning is a licensed trade. Every fridge and aircon tech on HaT is ID- and ABN-verified, and their ARC (refrigeration) licence is checked against the relevant register before they can send you an offer — and the badge expires when the licence does. Tradies with current public liability cover carry a separate verified Insured badge.

Can anyone regas my air conditioner?
No. Handling refrigerant legally requires an ARC (refrigerant handling) licence — it's not a job for a general handyman. Every fridge and aircon tech on HaT has that licence checked before they can send you an offer.
Is my fridge worth repairing?
Give the brand, model and rough age, and describe the symptom — not cold at all, freezer fine but fridge warm, running constantly, noisy. The techs who offer will tell you straight whether a repair makes sense; you're never obliged to book.
What's the difference between this and Heating & Cooling?
This trade covers fridges, freezers, cool rooms and split-system air conditioners — anything with refrigerant at its heart. Ducted whole-home heating and cooling systems are the separate Heating & Cooling trade. Describe the problem in plain words and HaT routes it correctly either way.
